What is Reiki?
Reiki is a holistic healing technique that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The term "Reiki" comes from the Japanese words "Rei," meaning universal, and "Ki," meaning life force energy. It is based on the belief that a balanced energy flow within the body promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
In a Reiki session, universal energy is channeled through my hands to the recipient, either through light touch or hovering just above the body. This energy work aims to clear blockages, restore balance, and support the body's natural healing processes. While deeply relaxing, Reiki may also help alleviate stress, reduce pain, improve sleep, and enhance overall emotional health.
Reiki is non-invasive and works alongside traditional medical treatments, making it a popular complementary therapy for individuals seeking holistic approaches to wellness. It is often described as a deeply soothing and restorative experience.
